The Vision

The Harlows came to us with a blank, sloping lawn and a single request: a backyard that felt like a private resort rather than a suburban pool. We spent the first three weeks in design, studying sightlines from the main living areas so the infinity edge would read as a sheet of glass meeting the tree line beyond.

Every material was chosen to age gracefully in the Middle Tennessee climate. Honed limestone decking stays cool underfoot, the glass-tile waterline catches evening light, and a raised spa spills quietly into the main basin to anchor the composition.

The Build

Excavation and structural steel took shape over five weeks, followed by gunite, tile, and coping. Twin fire bowls and a fully automated lighting system were the final touches, letting the family shift the entire backyard from bright afternoon swims to a glowing evening retreat with a single tap.
